I love M Dance & Fitness and I love all the instructors. I have enjoyed every single class I have ever taken here. The scheduling system is simple to use, they offer lots of classes and convenient times and they have classes on Saturdays and Sundays as well. Misty I think is the owner, she is a great communicator - always offering deals to existing students, lots of workshops and other exciting events. She always keeps in touch with tips and advice. And she really cares about the clients and our experiences. Diana is absolutely awesome - she is always fun, has great energy, even when she might be tired she never shows it and she always makes sure to lead a great class for everybody. She always has great tips and great advice to make sure you get the most out of each class. Gina is awesome, fun, energetic and you can tell that she loves to teach. I have yet to take a class from Carly but I'm sure that she is awesome too.
I mostly go to Zumba class. I am very uncoordinated and a terrible dancer so I was very intimidated to go my first time. But the classes are very diverse, lots of people of different shapes, sizes, ages, fitness levels and experiences. I'm not the most fit person, and I always turn the wrong way or go slowly but it doesn't matter. Nobody cares as long as you have fun and get a good workout, it's a great time for everybody. No judgement and no intimidation. Awesome classes.
I would definitely recommend taking classes from here. The prices are reasonable, the class schedule is very accomodating with lots of choices and the scheduling system is no hassle. No membership fees or anything. You just buy as you go and again they always offer great deals to existing clients.Linda M. 2/12
I am obsessed with this place. I have been going for a few months and I LOVE it. The workouts are SUPER fun and I actually look forward to them (this is coming from the LAZIEST person ever in this world). Unlike some places, the instructors are super supportive and encouraging and make you feel good.

I originally purchased a 5 classes for $25 deal via Lifebooker, and I've never looked back. I've only done Zumba classes (with both Misty and Diana), but the classes are a ton of fun and, notably, held in convenient locations around Manhattan. Love the music selection. I too came across M Dance Fitness through a Lifebooker deal and never turned back. I was apprehensive to take a Zumba class but realized after my first one with Misty, no one cares if you can't follow the moves, as long as you're moving! Both Misty and Diana are great teachers but have different teaching styles. I mostly take Diana's Zumba classes because it fits my schedule and she smiles the entire class so what's not to like? The class goes by so fast and you're having fun while you're sweating your butt off. From what I see, the classes have a mix of young and old and people of various fitness levels who can all keep up with the class. I've also taken Diana's Hip Hop class as well as and she definitely kicks your butt but you have fun the entire time. I would definitely recommend M Dance Fitness.Michelle T. 9/11
I've taken both the Be Ballet Buff class and the Zumba classes that Misty offers and they are really great workouts. She makes it easy for anyone at all levels of dance - it is challenging, but not so difficult you want to leave early. Zumba is really upbeat, with a great mix of songs and dance moves, put together in a sweat-inducing combination. Be Ballet Buff is a different pace-more slow and structured ballet movements that really stretch and flex muscles you forget you have. my hips & legs feel more limber & I can already feel my posture improving as I sit at my desk job *sigh

Well, after one year at MD&F and approximately 160 classes later, I can say I am still 100% satisfied (if not more). I am so happy to be a part of the positive atmosphere and family. And that's just the mental changes! I have never been so healthy and full of energy! Thanks to all the great teachers and students for helping inspire change. To anyone new, stick around! It just gets better.
I used to wander the gym like a lost puppy and was way too timid to enter the free weight area. I was stuck in a rut of running on the treadmill and doing a few standard crunches each visit. After working with Diana on my PEP things are completely different. She really sat down and thought specifically about my body and abilities and took into account what exercise material was available to me. I now have an amazing workout routine to use at the gym or at home. Diana put a lot of effort into writing up a plan that can be modified overtime as I get stronger. She was really kind and supportive during our consultation and it’s nice to know I can always schedule more time with her to follow up. Everything was explained thoroughly and I left feeling optimistic and EXCITED about implementing my plan. It’s been about a month since my consultation and I am already feeling more fit, confident and energized. It is so gratifying to select the heavier weights on the weight rack and be able to completely everyday activities easier than ever. The PEP is exactly what I needed to enforce some structure and FUN into my workout routine. I also feel super lucky to have someone as warm and knowledgeable as Diana designing my custom fitness program. My PEP (along with my monthly unlim pass) is the type of purchase that keeps paying me back everyday with improved health. Thanks MDF for keeping me moving!!

I kept hearing about Zumba late last year, and thanks to a promotion M Dance and Fitness was running via Lifebooker I finally decided to try it, and I'm so glad I did. Zumba has been the most fun I've had working out probably ever. Misty is a great teacher, I really like her technique, her music selection, and the way she breaks down steps. She overall has a great energy that keeps the class going. I've been a guest at some other classes in the area, and she is by far the best Zumba instructor I've encountered. If you haven't tried Zumba yet, or even if you have, definitely attend one of her classes soon.D.C. 2/11
I used to rarely exercise. So when my friend asked me to go to a Zumba class with her, I was skeptical. But after the first class with Misty, I was hooked! Unlike past experiences I've had at gyms and in classes (the few times I've been), Misty's class is fun and you don't feel like it's a chore. Basically you get to have fun with your friends and you get the bonus of a killer workout! Misty is always switching up her routines and her energy and kind spirit make this class amazing. Just took my first Be Buff Ballet class and I will definitely be going back. This class definitely worked out, by stretching, strengthening, and flexing, muscles I didn't know existed, as well as focusing on posture. And who doesn't need help with their posture??? Misty is a great teacher- you can tell she knows what she's talking about and is able to help everyone in the class with adjustments and proper form, while not coming off as a scary mean ballerina type of teacher you might picture from movies. I definitely love this class as an alternative to pilates or yoga and will be back for more. (Especially since this class seems to focus mainly on...."the rear view"...which is awesome)

Misty's classes are fun and a great workout. Her energy level is amazing and her overall enthusiasm is great. I started taking her Zumba classes towards the end of last year and I am a big fan. Although it's a lot of fun, it is also a lot of work. I found myself sweating and out of breath and laughing all at the same time. What other cardio workout does that for you? This year I started taking her Be Ballet Buff classes and I love them as well. They're great to take right before Zumba or if you have the energy right after Zumba. As a bonus she is also very accommodating. P.S. She also wants and listens to feedback from her students.

I've been to tons of zumba classes where the instructors grunt or you just bootyshake for an hour. Not the case here! Misty is a phenomenal instructor, has great taste in music and her class is easy to follow, yet still a great workout.

So Ballet has always scared me, even when I was a little girl taking ballet classes, and I thought I would never go back to anything that relates to ballet. But when I saw the ‘Buff’ word after Ballet I was intrigued. I mean, buff I always wanted to be. I have been taking this class since the beginning and I am addicted. Yes, I am starting to see changes in my legs, ‘rear view’, and I am definitely more 'buff' than I have ever been, and Misty has truly taught me to carry myself better by engraining the proper posture that we all really should have, not only to look like a dancer but to not strain our lower back ever. I feel more confident and I have no more back pain after any kind of exercise. It wasn’t all easy at first, but my body is finally catching up with my brain so this posture thing is becoming more second nature. YAY! With every class, Misty has incorporated more ballet based moves and even though it's always a challenge for me, I am starting to really enjoy those challenges. Seriously, no dance training is required, which I had little when I started, but I can guarantee you will start to feel like you have danced for years just after a few classes.
I have actually considered attending a few ballet classes again because I am seeing that fear of ballet to disappear right in front of my eyes! Ladies, as Misty has mentioned, summer is right around the corner and for the first time ever in my life am I excited to to wear a bikini!!!Anastasia Zorin 3/11
Trim down, get healthy and have fun doing it! I thought I'd try it out for 1 month and enjoyed the Zumba class so much that 4 months later I am still here. Misty is a terrific teacher with plenty of energy to spare and a variety of dance steps that keep your heart rate going and your body moving. You'll see the difference if you stick with it!Irma A.
I just went to my first be ballet buff class and LOVED it. I've wanted to take ballet since I was a little girl and never was able to. I will definitely be back. Misty makes everyone in her class feel capable and empowered and lovely - what a wonderful feeling to have when exercising!

I have been taking zumba classes since Feb. 2010 and I could not have made a better choice to get in my cardio work-out. It's a fun-filled hour with Misty who is a great instructor who has great music and even greater moves and even a 60 year old full-figured woman like me can keep up with the younger women in the class. Ballet Buff class is amazing! I've been to three so far and have def felt the difference! My posture is so much better, which makes me look thinner/more graceful and I've also been losing weight (though I've been eating pretty healthy too). Would def recommend this class to anyone looking to strengthen their core & lower body.

I absolutely love Integrated Stretch. I think it gets better each week as Gina refines her approach, and I wish it were offered more frequently... I think it's great that it comes after an intense cardio class because my muscles are so warm that they're almost floppy; I'm certainly more flexible than I could possibly be coming in cold. I'm also grateful for the balance element of the class."

M Dance Fitness is filled with incredible high-spirited teachers, intense workouts, and great variety. I started in Zumba classes from a BuywithMe deal almost a year ago, and have been hooked since! From... lengthening in Be Ballet Buff, and "letting your freak flag fly" in Hip Hop Fitness, I always have a great time and work up a sweat. The classes work for all levels, ages, and body types. Diana and Misty know the routines down pat, and encourage students to adapt and modify if needed, while still being encouraging and upbeat.
